SHADOW VISIT

Shadow Visits are an important way for a young man to experience Chaminade. Prospective students are paired with Chaminade students to visit their classes, tour the campus, and have lunch with our students.

Students in 5th - 8th grade (looking for fall admittance)

A Parent Tour is offered at the beginning of your son's visit. Tours take about an hour.

Students looking for admittance in future years should wait until the Spring to shadow.

Frequently Asked Questions About our Shadow Visits!

When should I arrive and how much time will the Shadow Visit take?

You should plan to arrive at 9:15AM or 10:00AM depending on the appointment you made. You will complete your Shadow Visit around 1:30PM or 1:45PM.

Where should my parents and I go when I arrive at Chaminade?

Your parent(s) should park in any Visitor parking place in front of Chaminade Hall. Walk up the front steps of Chaminade Hall, and once inside, the Admissions Office is the first office on your left.

Who will meet you on campus?

You will meet with a member of the Admissions team. You will also meet your ambassador for the day and several current students, teachers and administrators while on campus. Following the Parent Tour, there will be an opportunity to meet to ask questions of the Admissions Team.

What should I wear for the Shadow visit?

You should wear a collared shirt, khaki pants or shorts, and athletic shoes. If you attend a school with a dress code/uniform, please feel free to wear that attire.

What about lunch?

Enjoy lunch on us in our cafeteria, Cafe Moe.

Why does a Shadow Visit make good sense?

Prospective students get to spend time with Chaminade students and to hear directly from them about our school. You can see first-hand how the classes are conducted and meet some of your future teachers.

When can prospective students shadow?

Shadow Visits will be available for 8th graders looking at 9th grade beginning after Labor Day. Students interested in Middle School may visit beginning in October.

Can parents tour the same day your son has his Shadow Visit?

Yes, and we encourage parents to do this. Once students are paired with their Student Ambassadors, parents can tour our campus beginning at 9:30AM. If you cannot make the morning tour, we can arrange another time. Please contact Zach Pogue at [email protected] (314) 692-6640 to schedule. The tour usually lasts about 60 minutes, followed by a chance to ask questions of our Admissions Team.
